Patrick received his PhD from Virginia Tech followed by postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His scientific interests include intercellular communication, intracellular signaling pathways, and viral pathogenesis. He joined Nanocrine to lead cell biology advancements and product development, including a platform for label-free phenotype-based assays for determination of viral infection.

Steve has a forty-year career serving as founder and executive of life science companies, including the BRL Division of Life Technologies, Oncor, OncorMed, and Quorum Sciences.
He focuses on commercializing new life science technology platforms and served as Director of Marketing for the Microbiology Division of Becton, Dickinson & Co.
He is a graduate of Stanford University.

Marc received his PhD in physics from Catholic University and leads an interdisciplinary team of physicists, material scientists, and bioengineers at the United States Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.
He is the inventor of the technology used in the Nanocrine Plasmonic Chip.
